Poem: Panic

i’m a new born again

and again and again

and i panic

again

it seeps through like a snake through a

supposed seal

of fortress. your bed frame, window,

a creature of habit, escalando la sierra

the demon passing as angel

sinks doubts into my veins

and my children’s screams

register as earth point nine

on the richter

as i stir some macaroni

in a kitchen of love
